Bangla horor book Vuture Durgo Edited by Anish Das Apu. Much of the praise for the art of translation in Bangladesh’s literature goes to Anish Das Apu. With his harmonious literary skills he has elevated this art to higher dimensions. He has born in 5th December 1969 at Barisal District. His father’s name is Late Lokkhi Kanto Das & mother’s name is Nihar Kanto Das. He completed his SSC & HSC from Barisal School & College. After that he completed his Hons. & Master’s from Dhaka University in International Relations. He started his writings since he studied in DU. He emerged in the field with the books ‘King Kong’, ‘Ripley’s Believe It Or Not’ and ‘ET’ in 1994. The same year he also came up with his translated novel ‘Dush-shopner Raat’ (Night of Nightmares), published by Sheba Prokashoni. That was only the beginning, since then he kept on presenting us with translations of books by famous authors like Sydney Sheldon, James Hadley, Wilber Smith and many more. He started his career in 1991 as a journalist in Weekly Manorama. After that in 1994 he joined in fortnightly Tarokalok. Now he is working in an Advertisement firm.
